Disclosure Statement
At Broken Vows, Restored Hearts, everything we do is done in obedience to what we believe to be God’s leading. We are in constant prayer as we seek His will for this ministry and in our life. We ask Him to take our simple offerings and multiply them for His Kingdom. More than anything else, we want to honor God in what we do here.
For that reason, we are highly committed to honesty and integrity in our business dealings. We can assure you that we whole-heartedly stand behind anything we recommend. While we do include ads and affiliate links to help compensate us for our time as well as make money to further the ministry, these do not in any way affect what we write or say.
Book reviews, product reviews, or services recommendations are all done giving our honest opinions. If we include an affiliate link to purchase the product, it is both to make it easy for the reader to purchase, and, yes, to help us make a few cents off that purchase. (Without ever affecting the price for you, the buyer, at all.)

We use A LOT of Scripture in our writing. Through our years of studying God’s word we have used many translations, and encourage our readers to look verses up in multiple translations in their own personal Bible study time. Along the way, we’ve fallen in love with the New Living Translation (NLT). It so beautifully communicates the Word of God in a way that is very easy to understand. For that reason, we have chosen to use NLT as our default translation here on the blog.

We may occasionally prefer the way another translation states a verse, and choose to use that translation instead. This will always be indicated in parentheses next to the passage, and will almost always be either the New International Version (NIV) or English Standard Version (ESV).
