The Daily Bible Reading Plan
We’re pretty excited about this Bible Reading Plan! We’ve used many through-the-Bible plans in our years of Bible study, and loved different things about each. So we’ve taken some of those favorite things and combined them into this very special experience. In one year, you will have read through:
- The Old Testament (minus Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon) in chronological order. Of all the ways we’ve read through the Old Testament, this is our favorite. We believe it gives the best picture of the history as it unfolded, as well as the best chance of understanding of the content as it was intended to be understood.
- The New Testament in an order we designed to best pair with the Old Testament readings. The Bible is such a special book – uniquely inspired by the Holy Spirit as no other book in history has ever been. Even though it was written over thousands of years, it was designed by the Lord God Almighty to perfectly fit together as a whole. We want to showcase some of these amazing intricacies and have laid out this plan in a way that we believe does exactly that.
- The Old Testament’s Wisdom Literature (Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon). These, too, have been split out and paired daily with the portions of Scripture we believe they best compliment. There is so much depth and richness in these precious books of the Bible, but they can be really hard to digest in large chunks. That’s why we’ve included them this way. Spread out with sweet little morsels each day meant to encourage, inspire, and deepen our wisdom, understanding, and fear of the Lord.
